Emilia | Brisbane newborn photographer

Meet baby Emilia, 18 days new. Such an alert little girl! Emilia really didn't want to miss much of her newborn photo session this morning - although we did get a little stretch of sleep from her in the middle of the session.

Big sister Sophia really wanted nothing to do with Emilia today - and especially didn't want to touch her - which can actually be quite common with siblings. So I made it super fun, we talked about some of her favourite things - dinosaurs and ice-cream lollipops - and teamed with some intense bribery from her parents, we got so many beautiful, sweet photos. And you'd never even know how much she hated it! Haha.

Newborn photos are best done while your baby is still small and sleepy, usually under 3 weeks of age. It is essential to book while still pregnant. If you'd like any more information on my newborn sessions, please contact me and I'll be in touch.

Lauren | Brisbane maternity photographer

So much fun with this little family in the studio today! Expecting their third beautiful babe, parents Lauren and Ben warned me that 3yo Hamish and 1yo Evie were not at all photogenic, and I would be hard-pressed getting a nice photo of everybody. All I thought to myself was: "Challenge Accepted!" I am too persistent and determined to let a challenge like this beat me!

And as you can see from the images below, I think I won ;)

The kids had heaps of fun and although it was a little hectic for us adults, I'm sure it will all be quickly forgotten by looking at these photos. I'm so excited to meet baby number three in a few short weeks - and I'll be well prepared for round two with these kids!

Even though the saying goes "never work with kids or animals" - I have to disagree. Unless they're my own kids - that's a whole other story ;)

Maternity sessions are best booked for between approx. 32-36 weeks, depending on your health and the size of your belly. I also have a special offer for both maternity and newborn sessions booked together - contact me to find out more!
